Sales in August 2017
August 2017 Dallas New Home Sales recorded 93 sales. The cheapest new home was sold for $139,000 and the most expensive new home was sold for $2,950,000.
Median new home prices in Dallas-Fort Worth have jumped to record levels of more than $350,000. A mid-priced new house will run you about $100,000 more than a preowned property — the biggest spreads ever between new and existing homes.
The price disparity has run many first-time buyers out of the new home market. Builders have concentrated on serving the more affluent "move-up" home sector. With floor plans ranging from about 1,800 to more than 2,800 square feet, the houses are much larger than a traditional apartment which makes them more affordable to the younger buyers
