U.S. News and World Report’s highly anticipated annual hospital rankings were released recently. Dallas-Fort Worth is well represented in the top 10. Baylor University Medical Center ranked No. 3, UT Southwestern Medical Center came in at No. 4, Medical City Dallas reached No. 7, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas slid in at No. 10.
Baylor Scott & White’s East Dallas flagship ranked in the top 50 in five specialties, including diabetes and endocrinology, at No. 31; ear, nose, and throat, at No. 26; gastroenterology and GI surgery, at No. 16; and neurology and neurosurgery, at No. 38. UT Southwestern Medical Center charted in three specialties: geriatrics, No. 31; neurology and neurosurgery, No. 42; and urology, No. 36. Medical City Dallas ranked in gynecology, at No. 44.
